In most corporate presentations, PowerPoint is the main show.
Our focus is usually on the screen in the middle of the room where slide after boring slide slowly puts us to sleep 😴.
Ever been in a presentation like that?
If you want to stand out, make sure the focus is on you and your body language. Human 2 Human interaction is much more engaging and fun than Human 2 PowerPoint.
Studies show that effective communication is actually 55% body language, 38% vocal and only 7% words.
Far too often the slides we see are text-heavy. If we're reading the slides, we're not looking at the presenter. And that means we can't see their body language.
A good rule of thumb is 80/20: 80% you and your body language, 20% PowerPoint.
If your message talks to the needs, priorities and pain-points of your audience, the enhanced focus on Human 2 Human communication will make your message much more powerful and memorable.
